October 2007

What started out as a nice trip to Wisconsin for the scenery and apples turned out to be a piano buying adventure. We had been looking for a piano for a while and stumbled upon a nice shop in Platteville, WI called Martin's House of Pianos and Organs. George Martin has a huge selection and great prices.

For a second year, Cathy and Joe went to Oregon for their Fall festival and car show. While we didn't bring home a trophy this year, we had alot of fun walking through the craft fair and seeing all of the cars.

Brittany started her new adventure with her own apartment closer to school. It is a nice place and only a few miles from work and school.

She came back to Sycamore to pass along the Homecoming crown to this year's queen at the High School's homecoming game.

Arrival day came for the new Piano. It was hauled in on a moving ramp that brought it in easily. Looks good in the sunroom, doesn't it?

Dani has been taking steel pan lessons at NIU from Mia. She is a Masters student in the steel pan department and is giving Dani a good foundation on the pan. Click on the link to see a Chronicle article about the program. Chronicle Link

As usual, Joe's birthday was in October again.

Dani entered a bowling themed pumpkin display at Pumpkinfest this year and took third place in her group.

Dani and Paige performed again this year at the Music Boosters craft show. This year Dani accompanied Paige on the piano.

Donna and Dawn came down from Rochester for the Pumpkinfest weekend. We sure enjoyed them and hope it can be an annual thing. We watched the parade in front of Bev and Steve's house. Even Brittany was able to get away from work and join us.

Dani and Brooke dressed as ghosts this year for Halloween and Emily was a turtle.
